How many of us know that the slimy head of distress like a monstrous octopus is trying to sink our boats and make us drown?

How many of us know that we can be saved from the hands of all our enemies?

How many of us know that God is our rock, our trust, our shield, our salvation, our high tower, our refuge, our saviour?

How many of us know that God can save us from violence?

How many of us know that God has eyesight?

How many of us know that God can shake the earth?

How many of us know that God can fly?

How many of us know that God can send help from above and rescue us and deliver us out of many waters?

How many of us know that God can bring us forth into a large place and deliver us because he delights in us?

How many of us know that we can keep the ways of the Lord?

How many of us know that through God we can keep ourselves from our iniquity?

How many of us know that God will save the afflicted people and bring down the haughty?

All of these goodies/ treasures are found in 2 Samuel 22, but verse 30 says: “For by Thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall” which means although distress exists God will deliver us…which means that although distress is revving up it’s slimy head all around us – by trusting God we will be victorious – by calling upon His name we will be delivered.
