Exodus 14:14

When Phill McHugh penned the words for “God And God Alone” I believe there was an anointing of Holy Spirit Power that inspired its words.

The song says:

God and God alone created all these things we call our own
From the mighty to the small the Glory in them all is God’s and God’s alone

God and God alone is fit to take the universe’s throne
Let everything that lives reserve it’s truest praise for God and God alone

God and God alone reveals the truth of all we call unknown
And the best and worst of man won’t change the Master’s plan it’s God’s and God’s alone

God and God alone will be the joy of our eternal home
He will be our one desire Our hearts will never tire of God’s and God’s alone

What this means we have nothing to fear because the God of the universe has created all these thing we call our own. God and God alone has made every glory that is in anything we see or that exists in the universe. Every glory we see belongs to God and so every glory is God’s and God’s alone.

God and God alone:

– has full authority of everything

God and God alone:

– can reveal the truth of all ‘we’ call unknown

God and God alone:

– has plans that are unalterable by the best and worst of humanity

God and God alone:

– will be the joy of heaven – His matchless love will infuse and diffuse and empower the joys we experience in heaven

God and God alone:

– Will be our one desire – We will never be tired and fed up with Him.

With all these and many more mind-boggling attributes and fascinating characteristics – God and God alone is qualified to receive our truest praise – our Everlasting Praise.

“God And God Alone” proclaims the utter! extraordinary!! magnificence!!! of the One True God who is able to fight our toughest battles for us !!!

This song’s lyrics help to capture what Moses was trying to communicate to the fleeing Israelites who saw:

1. Pharoah’s army in the background racing towards them.

2. Huge mountains on their left and right.

3. The massive Red Sea infront of them.

4. No where to run and hide.

God And God Alone puts into a bright and clear perspective the magnificence of what Moses said, when he declared:

The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
– Exodus 14:14 KJV
