The Roller Coaster Mind is a mind that goes all over the place – it goes up and grabs tight to the arm of God trusting Him completely and then suddenly sinks down into a deep uncertainty that makes your stomach cringe. I believe everyone has experienced this at some point in their life. However, The Roller Coaster Mind is one that can be thrown in the trash. We can all overcome it. To do this we have to believe that God is for us and wants the best for us, even when it seems in our limited mind that this might not be true.

There is a huge battle going on right now – where thoughts and forces of good are advertising for us to do good while thoughts and forces of evil are advertising and warring to make us do evil. In order to always win, and always defeat temptation we must always trust God consistently. We must believe and advertise to ourselves righteousness instead of unrighteousness. The forces of evil will do extraordinary things to try and convince us that God is not for us and to keep our minds locked into fleeting pleasures and temporary excitement. The forces of evil study our every move to plant temptation in our path. However, we are to trust in God and His goodness – He has billions of ways to deliver those who trust fully in Him from temptation – Our challenge is to keep our mind, emotions and passions under control – giving them over to Jesus Christ who will direct your steps. Each day as we trust Him we will gain new victories and new power to overcome natural tendencies, hereditary weakness, appetite and all sin.

6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

– Zechariah 4:6 KJV
