Choosing To Be Ignorant And Arrogant At The Same Time Is Dangerous !!!

Have you ever met someone who is lying to your face – even in the presence of the evidence? Well I have met a couple of people who tried this stunt and it is at times like this you really begin to appreciate your own sight, your own hearing, your own ability to smell and the fact that you have your own brain locked away in your skull. Take for example the whole issue of Creation versus Evolution, just today it struck me that the whole proposal of Evolution where Evolutionists say that everything we see around us just resulted from One Big Bang – has to be a ridiculous form of Arrogance.

If I can sit down in Australia or any other continent and call billions of people who are thousands of miles away from my location using a cell phone – why is it so hard for me to believe that I was created by an intelligent God who knows where I am and has the ability to do just what He said He would do.

If humans can intelligently design a cell phone that is smaller than the palm of my hand and this phone can let me chat to billions of people around the world – why can’t the God who created us speak things into existence?

If I can hop into a car and drive thousands of miles to another destination in a car that man made – why can’t the God who made us raise us from the grave when He comes back to put an end to this world?

If I can use a chemical concoction called a detergent in a washing machine and have my dirty clothes washed clean as new after 30-50 minutes – why can’t the God that provided His own Son as a sacrifice for my sin cleanse me from All sin, guilt and unrighteousness when I kneel in prayer and ask Him for forgiveness?

Willingly choosing to be ignorant about truth is a dangerous form of arrogance. Sometimes you encounter someone who is trying to pull wool over your eyes so that they can make a quick dollar or get you to make a bad decision.  However, choosing to lie to myself is really deep – it is like pulling the wool over your own eyes yourself.

Satan has used evolution to trick man into believing that creation never happened. Satan is so desperate for us to lose our heavenly reward and our places in the kingdom of God that he has come up with all these disgusting theories, like:

– Man himself is god

– Animals are gods

– Planets, sun, moon and stars are gods

– Fertility is a god

– Plants are gods

– Images are gods

All these crazy concepts and disgusting philosophies have the distinct purpose of making us believe that we have no father – we come from nowhere and so we are a law unto yourselves – anything goes – anything is right.

Thankfully because each of us has a brain we can make up our own minds and choose individually to embrace and treasure the heritage we have received from the one true God that created us – His word says:“All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.” John 1:3-4

When we look around our world today and see the prophecies of the Holy Bible coming to pass right before our very eyes, we have to pull wool over our own eyes for ourselves in order to accept Evolution as truth. When we see the fast-paced development of technology we have to choose arrogance to even begin to think that our Creator God had to take more than six literal days to create Earth. When we touch the face of a newborn baby and see the sophistication, glory and precision in his or her design, we should be persuaded that Evolution is a dangerous thing.

When you taste the magnificence of a juicy mango, can you honestly attribute God’s love care and provision to an ‘Unknown god’? The Holy Bible says:
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”

I know that several people are not aware that man tried to make drastic changes to the Ten Commandments of God. The fact is that our Creator made the Ten Commandments and wrote them with His own finger – And He gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.” Exodus 31:18  These Ten Commandments found in Exodus 20 were given to guide us as to how to live and protect us from danger. Alterations to such an important document as the Ten Commandments seem to me like a blatant disrespect to our Creator.

Today I challenge you to search for truth and reject scoffers. Peter prophecies in 2 Peter 3:

1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
