1. Dogs have sweat glands only in their paw and that is why they pant to cool themselves down.
2. Although a dog’s brain is smaller than a human’s the area of their brain that is responsible for smell is 40 times larger than ours. This might explain why they can smell a maximum of 1000 – 10,000,000 times better than humans.
3. A dog’s whiskers assist them in seeing more clearly in the dark. The whiskers can pick up even slight changes in air currents. These changes provide dogs with information such as the size, shape, and speed of things that might be nearby them.
