This Is The Shocking Conversation…….

This is the conversation age where so many people are adding their voices to the problems we see around us. Mothers are lamenting the loss of their sons to gang-related gun violence. Economist are flabbergasted at the new epidemic of spiraling economies and crumbling financial institutions. Social activists are incensed by the brutality meeted out to young children through human trafficking and so on… Christians are disturbed by the rapidly changing laws that are attempting to call good evil and call evil good.

When a person has to choose whether to consume tap water, distilled water, reverse osmosis water or deionized water because the decent water that should be coming through your pipe makes you sick in your stomach and poisons your body – you know that the priorities we have and the conversations we are having about these priorities need urgent help – they need solutions that will transform us from the inside out.

There is a simple song that was composed by Andraé Crouch that says:
Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above Him there’s no other Jesus is the way
Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above Him there’s no other Jesus is the way
Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above Him there’s no other Jesus is the way
Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above Him there’s no other Jesus is the way
If you have some questions in the corners of your mind
And traces of discourgement and peace you cannot find
Reflections of the old past, they seem to face you everyday
There’s one thing I know for sure that Jesus is away
Let me hear you now
Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above Him there’s no other Jesus is the way
Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above Him there’s no other Jesus is the way
I know you got mountains that you think you cannot climb
I know that your skies have been dark, you think the sun won’t shine
In case you don’t know
I’m here to tell you that the Word of God is true
And everything that He promised
I tell you He would do it for you
Let me tell you that
Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above Him there’s no other Jesus is the way
Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above Him there’s no other Jesus is the way
Jesus, He is the answer for the world today
Above Him there’s no other
Jesus, He is the answer for the world today
Jesus is the way
Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above Him there’s no other Jesus is the way
Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above Him there’s no other
Jesus is the way…

But many ask how true is this when times get tough. When the rubber hits the road and your teenage daughter is hooked on Amphetamines/Crack/Cocaine or when your uncle is trail-blazing with a promiscuous life that will see him get HIV AIDS or when the attending physician has to bear the burden of pulling the plug on the life of someone who has lost all hope from an unexpected accident or terminal disease – this is the point at which people start the conversation asking the questions: Where is your God? Is God going to show up? Why don’t we have the power we should have? Does God still have the power Jesus manifested on earth when He ministered just before Calvary?

Without a doubt I know God still has the power. Without a doubt I know Jesus still cares immensely for our suffering, our grief and our pain. Without a doubt I know He is about to end this present turmoil very very soon – but in the meantime what about His power? How do we access the Divine Power that Elijah had access to on Mount Carmel and Moses had access to at the Red Sea? When we examine things closely we realize that increased fear is plaguing humanity – a half-hearted willy-nilly determination is being touted around as “smart faith.” But there is no such thing as “smart faith.” I can’t be so interested in my son not picking up a revolver and not killing someone but at the same time give him premium access to violent video games and hardcore movies that teach principles from “The School Of Murderers.” I can’t expect a cuddly romantic marriage while gorging down on a menu of filth from Soap Operas that veto the exact opposite of what I wish for.

Ephesians 6:10 says “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.” This means I must first be “strong in the Lord ” – What this means is: if I really want to access His Power I need to be Intentional about having a quality relationship with Him – learning His Methods and embracing His Principles. Yes, there would be challenges along the way – disappointments and hard lessons to be learnt but the satisfaction gained from knowing you are able to pray to the Almighty God and see miracles performed here on earth is more than Amazing. The question in the conversation is not “whether my relative can be free from a drug addiction” or “whether LGBTQ+ individuals have been influenced by cultivated tendencies or hereditary factors” or “whether the brains of people who commit murder have a different construction” or “whether the person who is obsessed with alcohol, telling vulgar jokes or kidnapping little children can be healed?”

The question is do we want above everything else to be in Jesus and He in us. Jesus gives us the assurance: “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing… If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” (John 15 verses 4,5 and 7) The reality is that any chain can be broken by the Power of God and any sin can be demolished in our lives by the Power of His Holy Spirit. Any trial can be eliminated by the Presence of Jesus Christ. My friends, you can name any problem, any trial, any sin you can in the entire world, God can and is able to give us the victory over all of them. God can and is able and is willing to give us the victory – we just need to trust Him, be seriously committed to starting a new life with Him and we would see changes, witness miracles even greater than those we read of in the Holy Bible. His Word said it: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12) Don’t get sidetracked by “the discouragers” who want to tell you “it cannot be done – you can never be saved” or “you can never live a life that is Holy and pleasing to God” – these “discouragers” are liars and they don’t know what they are talking about.
