I come praying today against rash decisions. Many times we yield to the temptation of allowing the devil to cause us to speak a rash word or engage in a rash action that we wish we could take back. Someone might rub our spirit the wrong way and immediately without taking time to think through the situation we respond in a rash outburst of anger. Proverbs 25:28 says “He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls,” and Father we do not want to be that type of person so we come asking for grace provided by You to give us the strength and means we need to control our spirit both in actions and words. Help us to withstand the enemy in this regard so that we can be a witness for Your kingdom and not a hindrance to souls as they see us display these acts of rashness and wonder how this lines up with the character of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Replace our spirit with Your spirit which is one of love, peace, and calmness. Let us learn to trust all our situations to You as well since many times when we have these rash outbursts it is a result of our selfish pride where we feel within ourselves “how could that person dare offend me in such a way .” Let us remember our Dear Lord and Saviour was offended and disgraced for our sins and He holds the position of King of kings and Lord of all the universe. Let us remember that everytime we sin we actually disgrace and shame our Lord over and over again. Let us decide to take hold of the ample supply of grace that God has given us to help us to be humble and childlike in our actions. Today let us choose to obey and aclnowledge what God says in Psalms 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Let us choose to believe Isaiah 28:16 “Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.” Give us the strength Lord to be humble and guard our words and actions with discretion. Let everyone who sees this prayer and repeats it find power to conquer satan’s temptation in this regard. Thank you for answering this prayer in Jesus’ Name, Amen!
