Being Confident !!!

Human Resources, Management, Employment, Confident, Jesus, Slavery, Clothes, Bankruptcy, Relationships, Résumé, Qualification, Retirement, Company, Being Confident !!!

Wow!!! What a topic to blog on… In this time of social unrest, economic slavery and “spin-doctored” news! When applying for a job they tell us that one of the main characteristics that employers look for is Confidence.

They tell us:
1. The clothes we wear to our job interview should portray someone who is being confident about his or her ability to gratify the needs and exceed the expectation of management.

They tell us:
2. The sound of our “telephone voice” should be crisp, clear and pleasant with the sweet glow of someone who is being confident of his or her ability to articulate clearly how he or she would benefit the prospective company.

They tell us:
3. The way we greet and sit as we are being interviewed by our prospective employer sends a clear signal that we are being confident that we have what it takes to get the job done efficiently.

They tell us:
4. The possession of a résumé that does justice to our qualifications is important – our résumé must shine from ear to ear in brilliance, so that, being confident in its grammatical correctness and chronological completeness we can be sure to be the one who is hired, hands down.

However, what they did not tell us though is:
1. The premise on which they were being confident in offering employment was founded on a need to always be able to secure a contract each quarter from another institution within a very volatile and competitive market.

What they did not tell us though is:
2. That despite being confident in their track-record of having been in existence for more than 5/15/20/30 years, should the political climate change the manager has already indicated that the company will need to dissolve immediately.

What they did not tell us though is:
3. That although being confident in the retirement package and health insurance that the Human Resource Director so eloquently promoted and offered at the interview table, that illustrious, “mind-stabilizing” package is subject to various conditions being met which the company has no control over.

What they did not tell us though is:
4. The Forbes’ “100 Most Trustworthy Companies” or Fortune 100 “Best Companies” status in which they were being confident can suddenly explode and disappear as this new rival company has just released a rival technology that would render their current products and services obsolete.

Then as I sat on my hard, wooden chair (marked made in Malaysia) it hit me like a ton of bricks:

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: [Philippians 1:6 KJV]

There is at least one very thing in this world that we can be confident in.

We have no need to succumb to the fear of an uncertain future.

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: [Philippians 1:6 KJV]

We have no need to succumb to the fear of an uncertain job.

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: [Philippians 1:6 KJV]

We have no need to succumb to the fear of an uncertain mode of transport.

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: [Philippians 1:6 KJV]

We have no need to succumb to the fear of an uncertain relationship.

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: [Philippians 1:6 KJV]

We have no need to succumb to the fear of an uncertain economy.

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: [Philippians 1:6 KJV]

We have no need to succumb to the fear of an uncertain health plan.

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: [Philippians 1:6 KJV]

We have no need to succumb to the fear of an uncertain Anything….

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: [Philippians 1:6 KJV]
